Shipping policy
This policy explains how and when we deliver orders placed on spillsafestorage.co.uk.
Where we deliver
We deliver to United Kingdom addresses only. We do not currently ship outside the UK.
Where we ship from
All orders are dispatched from our UK warehouse in Burnley, Lancashire. Goods are held in the UK, so there are no import duties or customs charges for UK customers.
Delivery cost and currency
Delivery is charged at a flat rate of £18.50 per order, whatever the size of the order. The delivery charge is shown separately in your basket and again at checkout, before you commit to the purchase.
All prices and charges on this website are shown and charged in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT at the current UK rate of 20%.

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays. These are estimates based on our normal carrier performance, not guarantees. Larger, heavier or palletised items — such as bunded pallets, IBC units and large storage cabinets — may take longer, and we will tell you if that applies to your order.
Carriers and delivery terms
We dispatch smaller parcels using established UK couriers such as Royal Mail, DPD, DHL and Parcelforce. Larger, heavier and palletised items are sent on a dedicated pallet network such as Palletways or by a specialist palletised carrier. The carrier used for your order depends on its size and weight.
Palletised deliveries are normally kerbside only, delivered to the nearest safe point at your address. The delivery does not include moving items inside a building or upstairs, and someone must be available to receive and check the goods. Some deliveries may require a signature. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Shipping restrictions
Please note the following before ordering:
- We deliver to UK mainland and standard UK addresses only. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and other remote or offshore areas may take longer, and in some cases we may need to contact you about them before dispatch.
- Palletised items require suitable vehicle access to your delivery address. If access is restricted, please contact us before ordering.
- We are unable to deliver to PO Box addresses for palletised or larger items.
Order confirmation and tracking
As soon as you place your order we send you a confirmation email. When your order is dispatched we send a second email with tracking details where the carrier provides them.
If your delivery is late
Occasionally carriers are delayed. If your order has not arrived within 2 working days of the estimated delivery window, please check the tracking link first, then email sales@spillsafestorage.co.uk with your order number and we will chase it with the carrier.
If we do not deliver within 30 days of your order, or within any longer period we have agreed with you, you have the right to cancel and receive a full refund.
Damaged, missing or incorrect items
If anything arrives damaged, is missing, or is not what you ordered, email sales@spillsafestorage.co.uk with your order number and photographs of the item and its packaging. We will arrange a replacement or a refund. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are set out in our Refund & Returns Policy and are not affected by this policy.
Delivery address
Please check your delivery address carefully before completing checkout. If you need to change it, contact us as soon as possible — once an order has been dispatched we may not be able to redirect it.
