Ordering and payment
How do I place an order?
Browse our range, add the items you need to your basket, and go to checkout to complete your purchase. You will receive a confirmation email once your order is placed. A contract is formed when we send that order confirmation email.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards, and the digital wallets shown at checkout. All payments are processed through Shopify's secure, encrypted payment system. We never see or store your full card details.
Do your prices include VAT?
Yes. All prices on this website are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT at the current UK rate of 20%. Our VAT registration number is GB987256073.
Do I need to be a business to order?
No. We supply both businesses and individuals. You must be 18 years or older to place an order.
Delivery
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to United Kingdom addresses only. We do not currently ship outside the UK.
How much is delivery?
Delivery is a flat rate of £18.50 per order, whatever the size of the order. The delivery charge is shown separately in your basket and again at checkout, before you commit to the purchase.
How long will my order take?
Orders placed before 2:00pm on a working day are normally handled within 1–2 working days, with delivery a further 3–6 working days. Larger, heavier or palletised items — such as bunded pallets, IBC units and large storage cabinets — may take longer, and we will tell you if that applies to your order. These are estimates based on our normal carrier performance, not guarantees.
Will I be able to track my order?
Yes. When your order is dispatched we send an email with tracking details where the carrier provides them. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
Returns and cancellations
Can I cancel my order?
Yes. Contact us as soon as possible and we will try to stop the order before dispatch. If you are a consumer, you also have the right to cancel most orders within 14 days of receiving the goods. See our Order Cancellation Policy for full details.
What is your returns policy?
If you are a consumer you can return most items within 14 days of receiving them, without giving a reason. Some items cannot be returned once opened for health, safety or hygiene reasons — for example sealed absorbents, chemicals and PPE where the seal has been broken. We do not charge a restocking fee. My order arrived damaged or faulty — what do I do?
Email sales@spillsafestorage.co.uk with your order number and photographs of the item and its packaging. We will arrange a repair, replacement or refund and we will cover the cost of the return.
How long do refunds take?
Once we receive and inspect your return we will email to confirm it has been accepted. Refunds are made to your original payment method within 5 working days of acceptance, and in any event within 14 days of receiving the goods back.
Products and compliance
Are your products COSHH and DSEAR compliant?
Our hazardous storage and containment ranges are designed to support compliance with UK COSHH, DSEAR and HSE requirements. The specification of each product is set out on its product page. It is the buyer's responsibility to confirm that a product is suitable and compliant for the substances and site it will be used with.
I'm not sure which product I need — can you help?
Yes. Spill control and hazardous storage products need to match the substances and the site they will be used with. If you are not certain which product suits your application, contact us before ordering and we will help you work it out. Call us Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 UK time.
Do you offer trade or bulk pricing?
Yes. Bulk order discounts are available on many lines. Contact us for a bespoke quote.
